An immersive group mentorship for those ready to boldly build their mediumship skills, connect to the rooted + ethical wisdom found in their ancestry, and collaborate with their guides to create change in our current physical world.

Why ancestral mediumship?
One of the ways colonization attempts to maintain its power is by disconnecting a people from their body, culture, ancestors, community, land, and spirit. Reconnecting to these is a powerful, radical act. Ancestors are all those who have come before, and damn, this means your team is diverse and VAST.
In The Ancestral Medium Apprenticeship, we start by anchoring our work in your body’s knowledge and lineage; both the wisdom that lies within as well as wounds that require tending + repair. We then learn how to hone our communication skills to commune with the ancestors and ancestral spirit guides (of all kinds) that are part of our team. Finally, we apply what we’ve developed by beginning to co-create the world we want to live in with our spirit team by our side.
Ancestors are often our first line of defense, and as one of my mentors Kaitlyn Graña says “they are the most fervent supporters of our dreams.”
Ancestors are especially skilled in assisting and supporting us in “pentacles work” or earth-based work where we are creating and expanding possibility and physically bringing it into the world.
Ancestral Spirits who are aligned with our truth and wisdom are particularly equipped to help us co-create new realities.
Meet your Mentor
I’m Jes.
I’m an ancestral medium, folk magician, diviner, and spirit mentor. I’m also a somatic practitioner with a background in behavioral health and education.
I swear a LOT, can make any long story longer, and will openly weep when a stranger sings karaoke with their whole heart.
I am the great-grandchild of Irish and Norwegian settlers on Turtle Island as well as a descendant of Scottish, Manx, and English settlers. I was adopted and raised by family with Mexican and German lineage. Past cultural connections also include Slavic, Nordic, Baltic, and Siberian ancestry.
Queer and trans ancestors, community medicine ancestors, the ocean, standing stones, and my Chain Smoking Grannies also have an important place in my life, team, and heart.
As a somatic practitioner and psychic medium, I’m here to support you in learning how you receive information, how to honor safety in your body, and how to listen to your body's ancestral wisdom as you navigate your life and hold inherited gifts and wounds from those who came before you. It’s an untangling while reweaving process that is uniquely relational and always feels beautiful to me.
This apprenticeship was created with two of my beloved and trusted guides: an ancestor of healing + mediumship and my great-grandmother. They will be joining us for this mentorship as well.

Apprenticeship Foundations:
Somatic Sensing
Learning how to work with our body as a translator, tool, and collaborator to communicate with the world around us. Validating the ways it is already receiving information and expanding our awareness, capacity, and confidence.
Spiritual Foundations
Developing and implementing fundamental practices around setting boundaries, protection, spiritual hygiene, spell work, and communication protocols that allow us to remain safe, agential, and able to use our discernment.
Ancestral Research
Inquirers and investigators, rejoice! We will be following body, mind, and spirit-led research of places, elements, people, history, traditions, folk magic, music, food, and many other aspects of those who came before us. Access to records or specific knowledge of your ancestors is not a requirement; all of us are able to discover these potent ancestral connections through various ways.
Relational Reciprocity
From building and maintaining an ancestral altar to discovering ways to approach relationship through a decolonial lens, one of the core threads of mediumship is relationality. Here we will continue to develop and connect to ourselves, our team, and the world around us.
1:1 Mediumship Consult with Jes
Each apprentice will meet 1:1 for 60-minutes with Jes, where they will connect with pathways, spirits, and guidance that are most helpful for them on their current mediumship journey.
Personal and Community Practice
Apprentices will be practicing throughout the week between sessions. We will be additionally be checking in during sessions around our experiences with these practices. Towards the end, we will also be practicing together within our small, supportive community.

10-week immersive mediumship development experience with Jes and the other participants starting October 11, 2026
9 live presentation + development sessions, hosted on Zoom
A 60-minute 1:1 Mediumship Consult with Jes for clarifying spirits, guidance, and questions about your mediumship journey
A closed community group forum for the sharing of experiences, questions, and other support needed throughout the apprenticeship

Dates and Times:
Sundays at 2pm PT/5pm ET starting October 11th
Sessions are 2 hours long.
Weeks 1-4: October 11, 18, 25, and Nov 1
Week 5: Each mentee will schedule a time to meet with Jes for their 1:1 Mediumship Consult
Weeks 6-10: November 15, 22, 29, and December 6, 13
Attendance policy: Because this mentorship is immersive and practice-based, live attendance for sessions is important.
If something comes up and you need to miss a session, you will be able to review the recording before we meet again. If you know that you will need to miss more than two sessions, this is not the right time to join the apprenticeship.

Pay in full and receive an additional 1:1 Spirit Team Session with Jes, to be booked during or after the apprenticeship.

Payment Plan Option: $345 a month for four months.

Many of us know very little about those who came before us — a purposeful separation enacted through coloniality. There is so much potential available when we understand the people, cultures, land, and ways of being that existed before and during this severance.
The spirits always meet us where we are; one of the coolest things about ancestral work is the ability to build a connection with and learn about your ancestors as you go. Access to records or specific knowledge of your ancestors is not a requirement; all of us are able to discover these potent ancestral connections through various ways and we will, together.

All of our ancestors are imperfect, just like we are. This is a part of being human, and one that connects us in profound ways.
This question often comes up when referencing largely oppressive ancestors in a lineage. This is a reality, and an important one. We all have ancestors who have perpetuated harm. We don’t need to condone their actions to hold compassion and work towards repair. When we work with ancestors through a decolonial lens, it can benefit everyone. We can learn how harmful patterns impacted the past, discover how they show up in the present, and work towards showing up in different ways + change now and in the future.
Ancestral work also connects us to the breadth of wisdom and support that precedes us. It counters the hyper-independency of current society through acknowledging the larger picture and our relationships within it. In connecting to ancestors (and all other beings), we can experience what it feels like to be held by many realms and ecosystems of care and it’s transformative.

No, all levels of experience are welcome, and this program is created to support and assist you in developing your mediumship abilities (which we all have access to) through skill building, practice, and developing self-trust. If you are excited by and feel pulled towards developing mediumship skills this is for you.
Alternatively, if you are already connected to the spirit realm but are looking for a guided experience that will assist in creating structure, ritual, and deeper relationships with your guides this space is also for you. -
The Ancestral Mediumship Apprenticeship isn’t just a class – it’s an intensive group mentorship with live sessions, practice, and relationship building.
While there will be presentations and we will be covering historical and current info, skill-building exercises, and having discussions, the most important aspect of this mentorship is implementing the practices into your daily life. It’s praxis; theory and practice working hand in hand.The more you offer your attention, energy, and willingness to this practice, the more you will receive.
